Lainco was awarded the design-build mandate for the steel structure of the sports complex as part of a turnkey public tender won by its partner POMERLEAU. The goal was to provide the growing Dieppe community with an additional ice rink and to replace the 100-year-old arena that was recommended for closure. The work was to be completed on an accelerated schedule.
This building is distinguished by our metal roofing concept HighRidge Systems™, which provides high visibility and unparalleled experience for all users.
The new complex is equipped with two NHL-size rinks (85’x200′). The main rink is surrounded by bleachers that can accommodate 1,100 spectators. The building also offers locker rooms, a sporting goods store, three meeting rooms, administrative offices, a community kitchen, a public square, an intergenerational greenhouse, a multifunctional room, a 720 ft (220 m) long running track and a training room. Something for everyone!
